  3.     INDICTED. Billie Sol Estes, 64, a close associate of former
  4. President Lyndon Johnson's; in Brady, Texas; on charges of engaging
  5. in organized criminal activity. He and five others allegedly stole
  6. trade secrets from a rival manufacturer of container-cargo
  7. trailers. When Estes was released in 1983 after violating his
  8. parole from a 1963 swindling conviction, he declared, "I'm just one
  9. drink away from being a drunk and one deal away from being back in
  10. prison."
